A man in Monongalia County is facing charges after he crashed his car into a house Tuesday afternoon. That's because he's said to have assaulted the emergency crews who tried to help him.

The accident happened a little after 12:30 in the afternoon on Herman Avenue in Star City.

Investigators said the driver might have had seizure and lost control of his truck. That's when he apparently drove through a yard and then crashed into the house.

No one was home at the time during the crash.

The driver of the truck had to be taken to the hospital, but officials at the scene of the crash said he should be okay.

The only passenger he had in his car was his dog, who also made it out safely.
