A Marion County man is behind bars Sunday night after deputies say he got into a fight with family members and shot two of their dogs.

Deputies say just before 6 pm, Charles Jones III went to his sister's house on Parrish Run Road in Worthington and got into some type of verbal fight with his brother-in-law. Jones apparently shot one dog inside the house that was sitting on a couch beside five children. Deputies say he then went outside and opened fire on another dog that was chained up.

Jones is being charged with seven counts of wanton endangerment, two counts of animal cruelty, and felony possession of a firearm. No word on the condition of those two dogs at this time.
