Update 1/9/2012:
The Marion County 911 Center confirms Harry Martin, 3, was found sometime around 8:30 Wednesday night by a volunteer on an ATV. Officials said he was taken to the hospital just as a precaution, but is safe.
The boy wandered off from a home in the Odell's Knob area of Worthington. Authorities launched a search mission that included helicopters, thermal imaging and K9's. About 3 1/2 hours later, searchers found the boy behind a trailer in some thick grass about 1 1/2 miles from his home with his two dogs by his side. A cousin of Martin said he's not afraid of anything. When he was found, 5 News is told the boy acted if nothing was wrong and was excited to see the rescuers.
Police said he wasn't hurt but he went to Fairmont General by ambulance to be checked out. Authorities thanked all the rescuers, especially the dozens of citizens who came out to help.
Snow and icy road conditions made for a tough time getting vehicles around the skinny dirt roads surrounding the home. The Department of Highways was called in to help clear things up.
