Our state will get federal funding to help those who lost their jobs or were displaced at the hands of superstorm Sandy.
A $300,000 grant will help fund about 35 temporary jobs and cleanup and recovery projects. The areas set to benefit from this money are Barbour, Preston, Upshur and Webster counties.
Governor Earl Ray Tomblin, Representative Nick Rahall and Seantors Jay Rockefeller and Joe Manchin announced the grant Wednesday, from the U.S. Department of Labor.
