Almost a week after she was arrested, there's still no indication on what lead 16-year-old Rachel Shoaf to stab her best friend to death.

However, on Monday one of Shoaf's friends had nothing but kind things to say about Shoaf.

Last Wednesday Shoaf was charged and pleaded guilty to second-degree murder for the death of Skylar Neese. According to court papers, Shoaf admitted to stabbing Neese to death.

Skylar's father, Dave, has previously told 5 News the two girls went to University High School together.

5 News has been able to locate Shoaf's profile on a website deigned for people who want to make a living in the theater industry.

On Monday 5 News talked to a frined of Rachel Shoaf, who said she has known Shoaf for the better part of five years. The friend requested that her name not be used, but she told 5 News that she met Shoaf at a camp. She said she would never expect anything like this from her.

She also gave a statement to 5 News:  "she's (Rachel Shoaf) independent and doesn't pick fights. She's very trustworthy and reliable. Rachel has been nothing but a sweet and lovely person the entire time I've known her. She's friendly, outgoing, and caring."

Shoaf is still waiting to be sentenced.

Another teenage girl was also arrested, but no details have been released in her case because she's being charged as a juvenile. It's expected that her preliminary hearing is supposed to take place this week, but officials weren't able to confirm that on Monday.

In my opinion, she SHOULD get a shorter sentence than the other girl... At least she showed some remorse for what happened. I also find it ridiculous that the other girl seems to be taking the easiest path possible. BOTH girls planned it, BOTH carried it out, why should only one of them have their name plastered all over the media? Why should only one of them be tried as an adult? I do not think that either of them should get away with it. What the two girls did was awful, but at the very least, make the other girl own up to what she did as well. I am beginning to be very irritated by the fact that the media is putting so much focus on only one girl. Hold the other accountable as well! When you kill someone, her rights to privacy should be thrown out the door. End of story. Pay up!

She should get life, she took a life. Any one who takes a life especially with no remorse, she lose theirs.

I'm confused as to why the article says the friend asked her name not be used when the video clearly gives it. So much for privacy.

I hope this girls starts reviewing her friends a little more carefully. She still stands behind a girl that killed someone by saying she is sweet and caring? I don't think so.
