Gun Control: Who Do You Think Is Right, Senator Manchin or Congressman McKinley?

Ever since the mass shooting in Connecticut, it seems everyone has been asking themselves one questions. How do we prevent a tragedy like this from happening again? Thursday on 5 news we told you what Senator Manchin thought about this and many were shocked when Manchin appeared to support stricter gun laws when before he was against them.
More specifically, Manchin told us that we can't look at just one aspect. We have to look at everything together. He also mentioned we have to try and make our culture less violent. One of the examples he gave was the extreme violence in video games.
Congressmen McKinley on the other hand said,"Limiting the second amendment rights of law-abiding citizens will not change the behavior of those determined to use firearms to commit horrific crimes. The tragic shooting is a reminder to all responsible gun owners to properly secure their weapons at home. Part of the solution also includes enforcing and reviewing existing laws, changing how government and society should deal with mental illness, and addressing violence in popular culture.
But we also wanted to see what you thought. On the 5 News Facebook page Neil McPherson said, "They need to take weapons off the market that hold more than ten rounds. I love guns and I love hunting and I don't want to see them take all gun's away. Who needs a gun that shoots more than ten rounds anyhow?"
So to recap, Senator Manchin wants more gun restrictions in the wake of the Connecticut tragedy. Representative McKinley wants to ensure our second amendment rights aren't destroyed. Make sure to go to our Facebook page and cast your vote for who's right.

Gun laws are crap. They are just that...laws. You know who doesn't obey laws? CRIMINALS.

With Manchins strange 'logic' we better hope killings by stabbings with knives don't increase or we'll be banning all sorts of knives. Manchin is wrong and we'll let him know how wrong he is next election when he attempts to run again. He's not getting my vote again--I promise you that!!!

I'll sum it up for you; Manchin will NOT get the voters support he just got in the past election the next time around. And McKinley will! You start talking punishing non-violent law-abiding citizens because of what law breakers do and you're going to be soon unemployed; simple as that. It's obvious they have no common sense anyway. It's proven today and has been for decades that all those states with stricter gun laws and who had gun bans have the "Highest" deaths and gun crime rates than those who do not. How much proof do they need? Manchin and liberals just love to "ignore" facts in favor of there deceitful 'agenda' that has NOTHING to do with crime. Citizens know what the 'real' agenda is and it doesn't involve attempts to thwart crime. If it did, they'd be executing murderers and setting an example that they have ZERO tolerance for it and they would not be sympathizing with criminals rather than victims. Common sense is lacking today in so-called adults.

No more gun control.... criminals have the habit of not following laws...... why make criminals out of law abiding citizens...... this is an attack from the Democrats, and media on our second amendment rights and should not be tolerated.... guns don't kill people..... crazy maladjusted maniacs kill people!!!!..... he broke over 40 laws that day in CT..... do you honestly think one.....two.... three more would have deterred him...get real people.....open your eyes!

Congressman McKinley is right! If Manchin wants more gun laws he should move to Chicago. They only had a little over 500 murders there this year, and they have some of the strictest gun laws in the country.

the gun laws should stay the same cause it is not the guns that kill people it is the person that kills.
