If you're from the area you know this is the time of year when the smell of fine Italian cuisine fills the air in downtown Clarksburg.
The 35th annual Italian Heritage Festival is just a week away. It officially kicks kick off Labor Day weekend, but everyone wanted to get a little head start on the festivities at the 25th annual Pasta Cook-off in Clarksburg on Saturday.
Organizers said the pasta cook-off and the festival as a whole, are great for bringing out the Italian heritage in everyone.
"The cook-off is a great way to get everyone excited for the festival," said Rose Mazza, Italian Heritage Festival Chairman.
Several different vendors came out to make their favorite homemade Italian dishes and some even made homemade wine.
