If you tried to drive through Jane Lew on Sunday, chances are you didn't get too far. That's because their annual Christmas parade had the roads blocked, so they could officially kick off the start of the holiday season.
The theme of the parade was Christmas Through the Eyes of a Child. All of the children there were certainly enjoying it, because they got to catch candy and watch all of the different floats go by.
The kids and their parents watched as dancers danced past them, fire trucks honked, and bands played music. There was only one Santa allowed in the parade. He and Mrs. Claus rode in on a fire truck, ending the festivities in style.
The parade started at Industrial Park and traveled down to Hackers Creek road and ended at the Jane Lew School.
If you missed it this time, you can catch it this time next year.
