Most of our viewing area is under some sort of winter weather warning or advisory, and that has caused many people to head to the stores in preparation of the storms.

Store owners said they saw a steady flow of customers on Wednesday coming in to buy salt and snow shovels, just in case the weather gets worse in the coming days.

They said many customers were waiting until the last minute to get ready for the upcoming storms, but most people were taking all of the warnings seriously.

The workers said most seasonal items were flying off the shelf, and they expect that will continue if the weather is still bad.

You should also prepare in case of power outages. You can do that by having candles and flashlights ready, as well as extra batteries.

Having snacks and bottled water handy is also a good idea.
