For more than 30 years, Meadowbrook Mall has looked much the way it does now, but that is all about to change.  Beginning in February, the mall will begin a multi-million-dollar renovation that will transform the look and feel of the mall.  Plans call for new ceilings and skylights, new carpeting and porcelain tile flooring, revamped public restrooms and the addition of a family restroom, energy-efficient lighting, heating and cooling, a redesigned food court, a fresh, contemporary design for mall entrances and signage, new landscaping, upgraded soft-seating areas and other customer amenities.  A new Meadowbrook Mall logo is also being designed and will be unveiled later this year.
The vast majority of the work will be taking place during the overnight hours, when the mall is usually closed for business.  Protective barriers will cover storefronts to keep out dust.  Every morning, around dawn, construction crews will roll up the barriers, clean up debris and make the mall ready for customers.  Mall merchants will not lose a single day of business throughout the process.  The project is scheduled to be finished in late October, in time for the holiday shopping season.
“We’re excited about this project.” said Anthony Cafaro, Jr., Co-President of the mall’s parent company.  “We’re making this major investment because our merchants and our loyal customers here in the Clarksburg area deserve a modern, comfortable and beautiful shopping environment.”
The Meadowbrook Mall Complex is located on Interstate 79, Exit 121 in Bridgeport, WV.  It has been serving the people of the Bridgeport/Clarksburg area since 1982.  To learn more about the mall, click here.
