April 30th is when voters in Morgantown will decide who they want to represent their city, by sitting on council.

The community had an opportunity to learn who those 13 candidates are on Monday. Students, members of the public and business owners headed out to the Hotel Morgan to hear a little about each of them, and had the opportunity to ask questions.

Many candidates opened up by saying the city has accomplished a lot, but certain things starting moving and never got finished. Many said they have ideas on how to keep the ball rolling.

"We're grateful that all these candidates have decided to run. It's so important that we have good people who are running for public office. They're really the ones who keep our cities and counties running. Without these folks making their effort, everything would just come to a stop. So, we appreciate everything that they do," said Jack Thompson of the Morgantown Chamber of Commerce.

If you'd like to see questions and answers from each candidate, they'll make their way on the Morgantown Chamber of Commerce website.
