A Morgantown man is facing 20 felony counts of distributing and exhibiting of material depicting minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct.
According to Sergeant Adam Scott of the WVSP Crimes Against Children Unit, an initial investigation lead to a search warrant at the residence of 28 year old, David Ray Clelland. A laptop owned by Clelland that contained at least 20 videos of minors in sexually explicit conduct was seized. The age ranges of said children were from 5 to 14 yeas of age.
Clelland confessed to committing said crimes and stated he had also spent time in jail while living in Texas for the same type of crime. Clelland was arraigned in Monongalia County magistrate court and was placed on a $100,000 cash or surety bond.
