If you're a fan of art, food, and good music, you'll be happy to know there's a new place to go, where you can enjoy all three. The Main Street Cafe opened this weekend in Clarksburg.
Open mic night and a showing of Night of the Living Dead kicked off the grand opening. The owners plan on showing cult classics like that each weekend, but that's just the start of what they have planned for this downtown cafe.
It will also showcase local artists and musicians, while acting as a community center.
Right now, it's only open on Fridays and Saturday, but can be rented out for any occasion.
The owners, who also operate Washington Square, want the cafe to be a place where people come together and enjoy their community.
Gentilozzi hopes that someone will want to use the space as a coffee shop through the week. She also urges local high school students, writers, and anyone who has an appreciation for the arts to stop by.
Next Sunday afternoon, a jazz ensemble will be performing.
