WVU's goal is to have their students understand their field as much as possible. So they put together a presentation for all students interested in sports communication and marketing with the Public Relations Managers from the Pittsburgh Penguins.

The Director of Communications, Jennifer Bullano, and The Manager of Communications, Jason Seidling, spoke to students about sports communications, marketing sports through social-media platforms, and breaking into the field as young professionals. Organizers said they were thrilled when about a hundred students filled the room in Martin Hall on the Evansdale Campus.

"I mean, this is really what PRSSA is all about. It's not just having a meeting and talking... it's connecting students with professionals who can give them advice and maybe a future internship and just give them that learning experience. I think that is really important," said Brittani Lavenski, PRSSA President.
