When police in Marion County responded to an apparent suicide attempt on Wednesday, they were met with a high powered rifle.
According to a criminal complaint deputies were sent to a trailer on Morgan Ridge Road for a suicide attempt. That's where they found 44-year-old Stephen Grimes who told them he wasn't coming out.
Grimes is said to have come out of the trailer once, but then went right back into the trailer and turned off all of the electricity. That's when he apparently told officers "to come get him". When they tried to, Grimes apparently fired a high powered rifle.
Grimes was charged with wanton endangerment and he's in the North Central Regional Jail.
