A new study showed some of you aren't getting the right medicines.
Researchers looked at several types of prescription medication, such as blood pressure and cholesterol drugs that should be prescribed after a heart attack. Experts said across the US, these patterns should have been consistent, but they weren't.
More than a quarter of Medicare patients filled a prescription for at least one of the drugs studied in the survey. It also showed there's big regional differences in health care costs, along with quality of care.
Some people said sometimes they wonder if they're taking the best medicine for their health.
Barbour County resident Christine Hatfield said, "A lot of times they give people too much medication, sometimes when they don't even need that much. It's costly."
Experts said this report adds to the growing evidence that US healthcare could use some work when it comes to being organized and reasonable.
