The Greater Clarksburg Kennel Club is partnering with the Salvation Army to help those less fortunate this holiday season. For the past five years, volunteers have set up a booth inside the Meadowbrook Mall and have people pick from the Angel Tree to donate whatever they can.
The Angel Tree has children's names on it that you can adopt. By adopting a child you just get them what's on their wish list, which is usually clothes and toys. For those who can't afford to buy everything one child wants or needs. This year they started the Red Stocking, which just has the age of a boy or girl on it and one item that you can buy for them.
"I think it's just helping out. It's a community effort and just helping out the children and volunteering," said Sandra Laurie, Volunteer.
If you are interested in helping out, head to the Meadowbrook Mall and look for the Salvation Army booth. All of the presents have to be in by December 10th, so be sure to head out there soon.
