Three teenagers from Morgantown have been arrested and accused of viciously beating a WVU student.

The attack apparently took place on Saint Patrick's Day, behind the Dairy Mart on Willy Street.

The student told police he was hit several times in the face, knocked to the ground, and that's when his attackers continued to punch him using brass knuckles. He had to be placed in the Intensive Care Unit follow the attack, but he's since been released from the hospital.

Detectives believe the attack had something to do with a stolen case of beer.

A pair of 18-year-olds Devin Freeland and Josh Bena have been arrested for the beating. Investigators said another kid was also arrested, but they mentioned his name won't be released because he's a minor.
