About two months ago, troopers were called to investigate the death of a 2-year-old Belington girl.

On Tuesday, they arrested the two people they think are responsible.

The two arrested are 37-year-old David Delauder and 31-year-old Ida Evans.

Emergency workers were called to their home on March 13th after the baby was found unresponsive.

They tried to revive her, but she later died at Davis Memorial Hospital.

Troopers said the medical report found the baby died of a methadone overdose, and they found the drug in the baby's blood, urine, and hair.

They believe the pair gave the baby the drug the night before to put her to sleep.

Both have been charged with death of a child by a parent or guardian.

Their bail has been set at $100,000 each.

Yet ANOTHER case FOR bring capital punishment BACK to WV!!! You listening Governor Tomblin?????

HOW many MORE outright MURDERS of the most innocent & dependent citizens in this state (CHILDREN), must be murdered before SOMETHING is done? There ARE some instances like THIS ONE that should only be punishable by execution. And WEEKLY, we hear of at least ONE MORE case that fits this case to be made for bring back capital punishment; death by execution in the state of WV. WV is already starting to look like most over-populated larger cities on the crime rate increases.
