Two Pittsburgh men were arrested Sunday night in Marion County after police allegedly found them with bricks of heroin.
State Police said they stopped Jerome Pleasant-Simpson after they clocked him driving down I-79 at 102 miles per hour. When the trooper got close to the vehicle, he said he could smell marijuana coming from the car and could see large amounts of cash scattered around the vehicle.
While the trooper waited for a K-9 unit, he saw the passenger Taquaun Hill throw something out the window of the vehicle. When the dog got on scene, it immediately found two bricks of heroin near the car. After a search, troopers found even more heroin in Pleasant-Simpson's backpack and tucked into one of his socks. Troopers said, all in all, they found well over $1,000 worth of heroin from the two and close to $500 in cash.
Both men are being held on $100,000 bonds.
