Plenty of restaurants are taking the time over the next few days to honor our veterans.

The Applebee's on Emily Drive invites veterans to come on Sunday from 11 a.m. until close for their free meal. There will be a select menu to pick from for this event. The special is dine-in only.
Sunday night at 8 p.m., the Doddridge County Park will set off fireworks for Veterans Day. These are leftover from the 4th of July and Labor Day celebrations that were canceled because of rain.
On Monday,  the Texas Roadhouse on Emily Drive has free meals to say "thanks" to the veterans. The National Guard is coming with some troops and a humvee.

Also on Monday, Panera Bread in Clarksburg is hosting a formal flag raising ceremony at 3 p.m. in honor of Veterans Day. The company's offering free You-Pick-Two meals to all service members and veterans.
