WVU is trying to raise $750 million, all part of "A State of Minds: The Campaign for West Virgnia's University."
A couple who donated towards that goal were able to see where some of their money went on Friday. "The Greek Wall" was unveiled at the Erickson Alumni Center, which Billy and Christine McCartney help fund. They gave $200,000 to the Alumni Association.
They were able to see the newly decorated walls, which celebrate Greek life. They praised their time at WVU and their sorority and fraternity for getting them where they are today.
"The history of Greek life here at WVU is just so vast and so we wanted a place where people could come and learn and appreciate that and really understand how many lives it's touched and changed here in Morgantown," said Billy McCartney.
The couple has stayed involved with the school since graduation and said they wanted to do something special to help celebrate those organizations.
