West Virginia Wesleyan is now taking applications for it's West Virginia Scholars award.
The application is open to any high school junior in the state.
By giving this award to a student in the state, administrators are hoping to keep more kids in the area after they're done with school.
The award will be for a full four year scholarship to the school, which includes tuition, fees, room, and board.
This is the 5th year the school has offered the award.
They're looking for well rounded students, that excel in academics and leadership skills.
Many of the applicants end up going to Wesleyan whether they win the award or not, and stay in the state after they've graduated.
"I think it's very important to offer competitive scholarships to keep students here, and hopefully, like a lot of us, live and work in the state. What the program's done that's so interesting is that many of the students that have not won the scholarship, 60% or 70% of the applicants, in many years have actually enrolled at Wesleyan," said John Waltz, director of admission at WVWC.

When students apply for the West Virginia Scholar award, they're also submitting their application to Wesleyan at the same time.
There's also have second and third place awards of $5,000 and $2,500 a year.
