This week there is some surveillance footage of two men that different police departments need identified. Both of them supposedly robbed different places in the past few months.
Fairmont Police need your help identifying the man who held up the Mountaineer Mart on Locust Avenue on Monday, January 7. The man is described as a white man with red or auburn hair. If you know who he is, call Detective Hudson at 304-366-2217 or 304-366-4200.
In Monongalia County, the Westover Police also need your help to get more information about an armed robbery at the Smoker Friendly in November. On November 25, a man fully covered with clothes, a mask and gloves walked into the store before pulling a gun and demanding money. He looks to be about 5'10" tall and about 220 pounds. If you can help, call the Westover Police at 304-296-6576.
The third person is a man that police can't find. Clarksburg Police said the man they're looking for has a long rap sheet in Florida and has many charges piling up against him here in the Mountain State.
37-year-old Dewayne Lawhorn is wanted on many counts of uttering, forgery and fraudulent schemes. Detectives said in August last year, he passed forged checks at three different Clarksburg banks. No one has heard from him in about four months. He could be in our area or even in Florida, where he has ties to. If you know where he is, call the Clarksburg Police Tip Line at 304-624-1625.
