Two longtime employees at Mecca 911 in Monongalia County were honored for their dedication and service.

Captain Bradley Wilson has been a part of the organization since 1994. That means he's being serving those in the area for 20 years. Telecommunicator First Class Brandy Bennett joined in 2004, which makes her years of service add up to 10.

Both were honored during a ceremony and presented with a plaque for their hard work. They both said they appreciate the gesture.

"It doesn't seem like it's been 20 years. A lot has changed. I first started doing this in the 80s. It grew on me and that's what I like to do," said Wilson.

Wilson has several supervisory roles and is the captain of the afternoon shift. Bennett has risen to a position where she provides assistance to other employees on her shift and is the lead telecommunicator in charge when other supervisory staff is off duty.
