PSAC to Suspend Fall Sports Until 2021
Winter sports are also expected to be delayed
BRIDGEPORT, W.Va (WDTV) - According to sources, the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference is suspending its fall sports until 2021 and is delaying the start of winter sports. The PSAC is expected to make a formal announcement on Wednesday and joins the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association as well as the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference in postponing fall sports for the rest of the year.
The Mountain East Conference has often scheduled schools in the PSAC as a part of its non-conference schedule. Former MEC school Shepherd just joined the PSAC in 2019.
A total of 18 institutions make up the conference, 17 of which are from Pennsylvania. Shepherd is the lone representative from West Virginia.
