University’s McClurg & Metheny both start in collegiate debuts

BRIDGEPORT, W.Va (WDTV) - University’s KJ McClurg & Kaden Metheny teamed up to become one of the most lethal back courts in West Virginia high school basketball history.

Today, the duo made their collegiate debuts on different teams and made Morgantown proud.

McClurg got the start for New Hampshire at shooting guard and poured in 8 points with 1 assist and a rebound in 23 minutes of action. The Wildcats defeated Keene State, 93-54.

Metheny also got the start at point guard for Bowling Green against No. 25 Michigan in Ann Arbor. He tallied 7 points and 3 assists.

UNH will be in action next Tuesday against Bryant while Bowling Green plays at South Carolina state on Saturday at noon.
