WILSONBURG, W.Va (WDTV) - A man accidentally shot himself in the torso on Saturday when his firearm discharged at the Wilsonburg BFS in Harrison County, according to West Virginia State Police.

The man was transported to Ruby Memorial Hospital by HealthNet Aeromedical. Officials have not released the man’s condition.

One person was transported to the hospital by helicopter following a reported shooting in Harrison County on Saturday.

At approximately 11:15 on Saturday night, first responders were alerted to a reported shooting at the Wilsonburg BFS, according to the Reynoldsville Volunteer Fire Department’s Facebook page.

HealthNet Aeromedical transported a patient to Ruby Memorial Hospital. The patient’s injuries have not been released at this time.

The Reynoldsville Volunteer Fire Department, Harrison County EMS and County and State Police responded to the reported shooting.
