SHINNSTON, W.Va (WDTV) - Xavier Lopez went 3-for-4 with a home run to lead third-seeded Robert C. Byrd to a 6-2 upset win over No. 2 Lincoln in the section semifinals.

Nicholas George threw a complete game for the Flying Eagles allowing two earned runs on five hits with 12 strikeouts. Jeremiah Carpenter went 1-for-3 for the Cougars with a two-run home run in the seventh inning.

With the victory, RCB advances to play No. 1 Philip Barbour on Wednesday in the winner’s bracket final. Lincoln hosts No. 5 Elkins in a elimination game tomorrow.
