South Harrison’s Baughman, Tucker County’s Mullenax crowned regional throwing champions

Doddridge County hosts Class A Region II track and field meet

WEST UNION, W.Va (WDTV) - North Central West Virginia was well-represented among the field winners from the Class A Region II track and field meet held at Doddridge County.

In the girls shot put, South Harrison junior Shellie Baughman won the regional crown with a top throw of 32′05.50″. Doddridge County senior Ashlyn Ross also punched her ticket to the state meet placing second with a best toss of 29′03″.

In the boys discus, Tucker County senior Tate Mullenax bested the field notching a best throw of 122′04″. Doddridge County sophomore Adam Burnside is also state meet-bound after earning second place with a mark of 120′10″.
