BRIDGEPORT, W.Va (WDTV) - Today was yet another big day, with scattered showers and thunderstorms in the area. Some even produced Flash Flood Warnings in WV, even in NCWV. These showers and thunderstorms are from a low-pressure system and frontal boundary pushing in. This setup sticks around for tomorrow, giving us more scattered showers and thunderstorms. Some of these will bring heavy rain and cause at least 1 to 2 inches of rainfall, so Flash Flood Watches are in effect for most of NCWV until tomorrow evening. Take care when driving tonight and tomorrow. Tonight, temperatures will be in the 60s again, with cloudy skies. A few showers push into WV, but they shouldn’t produce much rain. Tomorrow morning and afternoon, more scattered showers and thunderstorms push into WV, as the low-pressure system and frontal boundary move east. Some showers and thunderstorms will produce heavy rain at times, so again, take it easy when driving and, if you encounter a flooded area, avoid it. Most of the heavy rain is gone by the late-evening hours, as the system moves east, but not before we see 0.25 inches of rain in most areas, with some areas seeing over 1 inch of rain. By Saturday, much better weather is forecasted, with highs in the low-80s and partly sunny skies. Go outside if you can on Saturday. More rain comes on Sunday afternoon, as a cold front slides in, so you may want an umbrella on Sunday. A few scattered showers are possible on Monday and Tuesday. After that, a high-pressure system brings drier air into WV, keeping temperatures in the mid-70s and skies mostly clear for the rest of the week.

Tonight: Cloudy skies, with temperatures in the mid-60s. A few showers stick around, so we will see some raindrops in some areas. Other than that, a dreary, warm night. Low: 67.

Tomorrow: Slightly cooler-than-average, with highs in the mid- to upper-70s. Skies are cloudy, with scattered showers and thunderstorms still rolling through. High: 75.

Saturday: Mostly dry day, with a mix of Sun and clouds and highs in the low- to mid-80s. In short, much better than the past few days. Definitely go outside if you can. High: 83.

Sunday: Calm morning, with lows in the 60s. By the afternoon and evening hours, scattered showers and clouds, so you may want an umbrella. Still a warm day overall. High: 80.
