Crews battle brush fire in Marion County

The fire broke out around 10:40 a.m. on a ridge off Wintergreen Ln., a few miles off the White Hall exit.

MARION COUTNY, W.Va (WDTV) - Multiple agencies responded Thursday to a brush fire in Marion County.

The fire broke out around 10:40 a.m. on a ridge off Wintergreen Ln., a few miles off the White Hall exit.

Due to the terrain, firefighters had to use ATVs to get to the flames.

A 5 News reporter on the scene was told as of noon the fire was still burning, but no structures had been damaged.

No injuries have been reported.

It’s unclear how many acres the fire impacted.
