Jordan Darensbourg is proud to be the morning meteorologist at WDTV. He is excited about this opportunity and can’t wait to make your mornings fun to watch.
Jordan graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Meteorology from Jackson State University in Mississippi and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications with a Broadcast emphasis from Mississippi State.
While at Jackson State, Jordan served as Mr. Junior, which is an HBCU tradition in which each class has a “king” and a “queen” as well as a university-wide king and queen. As Mr. Junior, Jordan was responsible for the class’s Community Service committee and had a platform of Autism Awareness, for which he received an award in April of 2016. Jordan also served for three years as the president of the school’s Catholic Student Association.
While at Mississippi State, Jordan served as the meteorologist on the school’s student-run news show, “Take 30 News” and served as a news writer for the school’s newspaper, “The Reflector”. He covered various articles, including minors in possession of alcohol to a giant inflatable baby in the middle of campus.
Jordan is a native of Atlanta and is an avid fan of the Hawks and Braves as well as MLS Cup Champions Atlanta United. He also has been an Atlanta Falcons season ticket holder since he was in high school. He is an avid soccer fan and his favorite “European” team is Manchester United. Jordan is an avid singer as well, as he is a member of his church choir and was in choirs at both Jackson State, where he won the Director’s Award his senior year, and Mississippi State
