2 men arrested in Boone County coal mine break-in

BOONE COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Two men were arrested after allegedly breaking and entering into a coal mine in the Jasper Workman area of Bald Knob, the Boone County Sheriff’s Department says.

Deputies say it happened Tuesday night, adding that it occurred in the same area where two men went missing last week and one was later arrested.

Corey Bryant, 31, and Justin Raynes, 31, both of Clear Fork in Raleigh County, are charged with breaking and entering and grand larceny.

Investigators say the incidents have involved suspects trying to steal copper.
