LAWRENCE COUNTY, Ky (WSAZ) -- A Kentucky family is mourning the loss of three loved ones killed in a crash on Christmas Eve.
On Monday, investigators say Edwina "Lynn" Wilson, 49, Brenda Charles, 66, and Sarah Wilson, 12 were killed after their vehicle was struck by a tractor-trailer on U.S. 23 in Louisa.
Wayne Williamson says his family is devastated by the loss.
"To lose one family member is hard but to lose three at one time," Williamson said. "We woke up Monday morning not knowing that Monday night we was going to be so heartbroken."
Williamson says the three were on their way to a Christmas Eve dinner at a family member's house when the crash happened.
Williamson describes his 12-year-old cousin, Sarah, as a sweetheart.
"She just started life," Williamson said.
Sarah was in 6th grade at Louisa Middle School.
Williamson says his cousin, Lynn, was like a sister.
"She carried a smile on her face all the time," Williamson said.
He says his aunt, Brenda, was a second mother to him and helped raise him as a child.
"I'm a firm believer that God has a plan," Williamson said.
