More than 6,000 Mon Power customers are without electricity in Ritchie County, according to Ritchie County 911.
Officials said this is due to a transformer fire at the Ellenboro substation.
Mon Power has been notified. Its website lists the approximate time of restoration at 4 p.m. Saturday. It lists outages for 6,194 Mon Power customers out of the 6,559 total in the county, totalling an outage for 94% of Ritchie County.
