Airport officials targeting October for new carrier

BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. (WDTV) - During Wednesday's North Central West Virginia Airport, Benedum Airport Authority meeting, we were given a minor update on the search for a new carrier.

If you remember back in April the airport cut ties with ViaAir after it had unreliable service. And the search for a replacement has been going on for months.

Wednesday the airport said they have officially let carriers know they're open for bids. Bids have to be in by July 6 and officials say they should have a new carrier no sooner than the beginning of October.
