Aldi's opened its doors for the first time in Star City this morning.
The ribbon was cut and people were welcomed into the brand new store. The first 100 people in line got a golden ticket, and each ticket contained a gift card with varying dollar amounts on them. People waiting in line are excited about the stores convenient location.
"It's just a great asset to our community here in Morgantown. There's a lot of people who've been really excited about it opening up and I think that with this happening, it's going to help a lot of families and a lot of individuals who really really need something close" says Aldi's shopper Steven Grugin.
This store has a new, modern look and is part of Aldi's $3.4 billion plan to expand to 2,500 stores nationwide by 2022.
