MONONGALIA COUNTY, W. Va. (WDTV) - The Alzheimer's Association met with the community to brainstorm better ways to fight the disease in our state.

Family members caring for those with Alzheimer's, dementia, or memory loss met with leaders of the state's Alzheimer's association to share their experiences and struggles.

The goal was for the organization to learn what services are needed in the community to better combat the disease.

This meeting was one of many that are scheduled across the state.

"What more we can do as the Alzheimer's Association, for our communities. What do the caregivers need, how do we get volunteers,"

Meetings will be taking place across the state in several different counties over the next several months.
