MONONGALIA COUNTY, W.Va (WDTV) - Monongalia County health officials say two dogs killed a raccoon with rabies on Memorial Day.
According to the Monongalia County Health Department, two dogs killed the raccoon on their owner's property. The positive rabies test came back on Thursday.
Health officials say there was no human contact, and both dogs were up to date on their rabies shots. They say this is the fifth raccoon with rabies found in 2019 that came in contact with human or animals.
