Bridgeport city council election results

BRIDGEPORT, W. Va. (WDTV) - Bridgeport held their city council elections Tuesday and elected two council members.

Don Burton won a position with 478 votes and Jeff Smell won the other open council position with 374 votes.

Others in the running received the following number of votes:
Donnie Tate: 167 votes
Jim Yeater: 136 votes
Adam Starkey: 34 votes

Hank Murray ran uncontested for city recorder and received a total of 565 votes.

Out of the 6,816 registered voters in Bridgeport 1,754 votes were cast.
