Buckhannon man charged with child neglect after infant found in presence of drugs

UPSHUR COUNTY, W.Va. (WDTV) -- A Buckhannon man has been charged after an infant was found in the presence of drugs.

According to the criminal complaint, a search warrant was executed Tuesday at a home on Hickory Flat Road. During the search, officers found methamphetamine, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia in close proximity to a 3-month-old baby.

Officials say that when Child Protective Services officers went to pick up the child's diaper bag, an open can of alcohol was hidden inside of it.

30-year-old Nicholas Cicalese has been charged with child neglect resulting in risk of injury.
