Casa for Kids donates backpacks for foster kids

It's the season of giving and over 20 kids are getting a backpack full of gifts.

Casa for Kids is donating embroidered backpacks to foster children who have been victims of abuse and neglect. Inside every zipper of the bag is a different gift for the child, ranging from socks and sneaks to a new Amazon Fire.

"I know that they will be looking forward to getting these special gifts for Christmas. These children depend on others to be their voice in the court system, and that's part of the role as a Casa, we become their voice" says Casa volunteer Shelia Brown.

This is Casa's Monongalia and Preston county branches. A total of 90 backpacks were donated across the state.
