Clarksburg kicks off First Friday event

CLARKSBURG, W.Va. (WDTV)-- First Friday at Jackson Square in Clarksburg held several activities.

The event kicked off at 6 p.m. and it included live entertainment from the Steven Lewis Band and Holly Turkovich. There were several food trucks, vendors and more for everyone to enjoy.

Lillie Junkins, treasurer and member of Clarksburg Community Action, says that several people come out to enjoy First Friday and that it gets people the chance to come to downtown Clarksburg.

"We want to draw people out," said Junkins. "People have been craving for something to do in downtown Clarksburg, so that's what were hoping."

The event was free and open to the public.
