HARRISON COUNTY, W. Va. (WDTV) - The Harrison County board of education chose the library to be one of several places families can stop for a free meal for their child.
Kids up to 19 years-old are welcome to stop by the library Monday through Friday for lunch and/or a snack.
The lunch time runs from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and the snacks are served from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm.
Next the board of education will be starting a program providing families in need with food to make meals for their family over the weekend.
The library says so far they've been feeding at least 30 kids every day.
"So far we have been serving up to at least 30 children a day," said Erica Perry, children's librarian at the Clarksburg-Harrison public library "And some days we have to stop, call the board of education up, and get some more meals,"
The lunch program will run from now until August 23rd.
