BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. (WDTV) - Frank Secret is 100 years old. He’s seen a lot of things change in his days. But, in his 100 years of life, Mr. Secret hasn’t changed a bit.
“Still the same, still easy going,” said Pete Secret, Frank’s son.
Mr. Secret was a successful businessman. His family owned furniture stores and even a candy company.
He also served our country during World War II.
But, he’s always been a family man. His son Pete describes his father as someone who was “tight knit” with his family.
And it’s fitting his last name is “secret.” Because we’re all dying to know what his secret to a long life is.
His son says it’s because his dad never sweat the small things.
“Someone always asks me, ‘What’s the secret to living to 100,’ and I think that it’s that he doesn’t worry about the small things,” said P. Secret “Like money, things like that don’t influence him. Just family and being close together and I think that’s the secret to a long life.”
But, Mr. Secret says there is no secret. He’s just grateful God has blessed him.
“I don’t know how you figure it out,” said F. Secret. “I don’t know if there is a way to figure it out. God’s been good to me, that’s all.”
During his party, Mayor of Clarksburg Cathy Goings presented him with a proclamation forever etching his legacy within the community.
