Power has been restored to most of North Central West Virginia after high winds and heavy rains caused many outages throughout the area.

Mon Crews are in storm mode and restoration times are not available.

Barbour: 1,064 (16.86% affected)
Braxton 425 (5.24% affected)
Lewis 445 (4.55% affected)
Upshur: 450 (3.55% affected)
Preston: 519
Marion: 235
Tucker: 165
Other previously mentioned counties: less than 100

Thousands are without power in North Central West Virginia as storms knocked over trees and powerlines.

Initial restoration times range from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m.

Upshur County has the most Mon Power customers in the dark at 2,324 (18.35% affected).

28.85% of Barbour County is in the dark, with 1,821 customers awaiting power crews.

763 customers are without power in Braxton County; 411 in Lewis; 249 in Harrison; 145 in Monongalia; 123 in Preston; 74 in Marion; 61 in Doddridge and Taylor Counties.
