Detroit man pleads guilty to distributing heroin in Mon County

MONONGALIA COUNTY, W.Va. (WDTV) -- A Detroit, Michigan, man has pleaded guilty to distributing heroin in Monongalia County.

According to the U.S. Attorney's Office, 24-year-old Juan Holmes pleaded guilty to one count of distribution of heroin. Officials say he admitted to distributing the drug in 2017, which was part of a bigger heroin, oxycodone, and cocaine distribution operation.

Holmes faces up to 20 years in jail and a fine of up to $1,000,000.

The Drug Enforcement Administration, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives, the Mon Metro Drug & Violent Crimes Task Force, and the U.S. Marshal Service took part in the investigation.
