HARRISON COUNTY, W. Va. (WDTV)-- The university and the Harrison County Board of Education held the event. Students were taught how to operate, fly and design their own drones. This is the fourth year the university has held the project and it teaches students about technology, math and physics.
The camp also encourages students to further their education and to open their eyes to the industry.
"Drone industry has became the largest industry in the world right now. So it's important that you begin to produce graduates who know technology and this industry," said Dr. Javid Syed, director of computer sciences and information technology at Salem University.
Another camp is set for September at Salem University.
