Elkins man arrested after allegedly breaking into home, taking off clothes and stealing new ones

RANDOLPH COUNTY, W.Va. (WDTV) -- A 39-year-old Elkins man has been arrested after he allegedly broke into a home, took off his clothes and stole new ones.

According to a press release, deputies responded to a home on Hart Ranch Road Wednesday evening after Charles Lanham allegedly entered and began taking off his clothes in front of the occupant.

Officials say two people arrived at the home before officials and detained Lanham. When deputies arrived, they found Lanham wearing clothes he allegedly stole from the home.

An investigation into the incident is still underway.
